A NEW NAME FOR YOU

A NEW NAME FOR YOU      Friday July 10, 2015

Text: Isaiah 62:1 – 5                 Memory verse: v 2

Here is the assurance of Christ for us about His unfailing love, and His plea for us under all trails and difficulties. We the Christians shall be called by a new name, a pleasant name, such as she was never called by before. In the words of John Wesley note, “The church shall be more renowned than ever, both in respect of her condition, and so called Hephzi-bah, and of her relation, and so called Beulah, and this new name the Lord gives them accordingly” as they will not be forgotten (62:4).

Are you suffering and thinking you have been forgotten? Are people steering away from you because of your past life? Jesus Christ is promising you a new future. He is assuring you that your future will be more glorious if and only you will accept what He offers you today – salvation. Have you accepted Him? Now is the opportunity you have to make that small decision that will change your life forever.

Food for Thought: Do you have the assurance of God’s unfailing love?

Prayer: Lord, grant me a new name that will make me never to be forsaken.
